## Course and Exam Description (CED)

AP Calculus

In late spring of 2019, The College Board sent out a new Course and Exam Description (CED) for AP Calculus (both AB and BC). We plan to align our course to follow their recommended scope and sequence, but it will take time. Our current lessons cover all the Essential Knowledge criteria for AP Calculus, but our sequence is different.

For every unit we create, we average at least 150 hours of work time. To correlate with the CED, we will need at least a full school year for the planning, preparation, and design of our lessons. If we make the changes, we will likely leave our current material while adding an additional calculus course that follows the CED sequence.

For School Year 2019-2020, we expect to have no changes in the overall sequence of the material, but we will continue to make minor changes as we find errors or need to shoot videos for improved instruction.

Thank you, and good luck with your calculus students!
